My Escape & Karma

Well, since Keith drove out to be with me, I drove back to be with him. It's been a little rough for me, I miss home because I'm worried how my mom is handling things and don't miss it at the same time. It was so quiet in the house after Tresse died, even though she wasn't a loud dog. It was her energy and spirit, I guess. So anyway I came back with Keith and I've been chillaxing here in his very nicely air conditioned house. No Bob to turn the air off and kill me with heat in the middle of the night, and with the heat like it's been it's a good thing. I've been slowly watching Keith's birthday present to me, the entire series of Sex and the City. Does he know me or what? I only had to hint about it like 10 times. He's so awesome. Did I mention I love him to death? Well, now to the karma part. This may make me sound cold, but I don't freakin' care at this point, it's just too wonderful. You may not remember but last monday I wrote about how drama-licious my family was getting in "Save the Drama". Well, if you've read this blog at all you'll know that my brother David is the bane of my existance. He's made me so mad so many times, that it was just a matter of time before karma kicked his arse. Well, karma came to make me smile. If you read the link above you'll read about how Derek, my nephew and my mom's first grandson, took off and we had no idea where he was. It took several days for David to get his act together and really start looking for him. In the mean time I looked up Derek's cell phone bill and my mom and I called the last person he talked to before the little idiot left. So we found out he's back in Iowa with my sister and his little girlfriend, which we really suspected. Here's where the karma part comes into play. You see, my brother (the bane of my existance) David, opened a bank account and put all the money they made working together into said account, and his name wasn't on it, nor did he know the pin. I'm sorry, but if you're stupid enough to give the con-artist's spawn a bank account with a couple thousand dollars worth of your money, find out what the pin number is at least! I swear I'm the only one in this family with any common sense at freakin' all. So, what do you think happened when this junior con artist went back home with a full bank account? Yeah, that's right. It's gone. My brother went out to Iowa just to find out what happened... and he found $200 left. Oh, ... my sides hurt! Not to mention Derek left his truck (along with the payments) with David as well. So now all the work David did was for, basically free, and on top he has a truck payment which he can't afford because the mass of his money was in that account. Well, it was a sad, sad day for David and a big fat slap of reality to the face for him. Man, I wish it'd been my hand doing the slapping, but a karma slap is the next best thing. Did I mention I smiled a little today for the first time in a while? OR Blogger Comments (0)
